Through My Lens: Capturing the Heart of Ultrace 2024

As a photographer, I've covered a lot of events. And each of them with its own energy, charm, and story. But Ultrace 2024 was different. This is my story.

This wasn’t just another car show. Certainly, Ultrace 2024 was a cultural phenomenon, a celebration of passion, engineering, and creativity. It brought together some of the most iconic cars and influential figures in the automotive world.

For three days, Wroclaw transformed into a hub of innovation and artistry. Through my lens, I was privileged to capture moments that tell the story of this unforgettable event.

Arrival: The Calm Before the Storm

The morning sun peeked over Wrocław's skyline as I arrived at the venue. The quiet anticipation in the air was palpable. Crews were busy with last-minute touches, exhibitors carefully wiping down their prized machines. What's more, the hum of excitement echoed throughout the stadium.

I had only one goal.

To catch the best cars and meet amazing people.

Legends Meet Reality

I positioned myself near one of the most stunning setups of the event – a platform featuring the legendary McLaren F1 GTR Longtail.

It wasn’t just a car on display; it was a piece of history, straight from the BMW Museum, meticulously placed to look as if it had been ripped from a racetrack and set on the stadium floor. The lighting was perfect, highlighting the car’s aggressive lines and iconic livery. I framed the shot and clicked—one of the first of many photographs that would define the day.

One of the most surreal moments was photographing Eleanor, the hero car from Gone in 60 Seconds, alongside the Toyota Supra from Fast & Furious. These aren’t just cars – they're legends in pop culture, and seeing them up close, surrounded by a crowd of admirers, was a moment that demanded to be immortalized.

Final Shots: Closing with a Bang

I had numerous chances to capture some great photos, and I believe I made the most of them. One of the more memorable moments was when water spilled across a section of the concrete slab.

I love using all kinds of additional elements in photography. So when I saw these water reflections, I couldn't resist.

The next moments that stick in my memory are the end of the first day when the sun set and the artificial lights came on.

It was a really cool moment when the film crew was doing their thing but didn't mind us standing on the sidelines and taking pictures.

As the event drew to a close, I found myself reflecting on the moments I had captured. From the intricate details of custom builds to the sweeping landscapes of the venue, each photo was a piece of a larger narrative—a story of innovation, community, and a shared love for all things automotive.

One of my final shots was of the Liberty Walk Lamborghini Countach, its angular body and audacious design commanding attention. It was a fitting end to an event that thrived on pushing boundaries and defying expectations.

Ultrace 2025 is just around the corner, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
